PLEASE READ THE POST BELOW THIS ONE....
Now, I need a vote..majority wins!
Since we have to be there for photos at 9:30am, Ceremonies at 10am, then the game at 12:00. I know this will be a LONG day for the children. I am taking it upon myself to propose 2 options. Please comment on this post, and let me know which option you would prefer. Majority wins.
Option 1: We do as scheduled. Photos: 9:30, Ceremonies: 10:00, Game: 12:00 -1:00
Option 2: We ditch photos. We ditch opening ceremonies. We show up at 11:30 to play ball! Next Tuesday, we will do photos at practice through an independent photographer, who will give you the digital files for free. NO CHARGE. You will also be able to online order buttons, calendars, trading cards, magnets etc if you would like. You can also bring YOUR camera to take photos of your child.
Please respond and let me know what you would like to do.
2 works for me
ReplyDeleteThat's an awfully long time for a bunch of 3 and 4 years old to be out. I think mine would be a total hot mess before the game even started. OPTION 2 has got my vote!
ReplyDeleteI think the guys need at least 1 mom helping next year, and yes #2 is my vote.
ReplyDeleteI'm ok for ditching pictures. When it comes to the opening ceremony, the last 4 years they have done where they bring all the teams out and line them all up. As each team is brought out they call the team name and then each invividual child. I've not seen where any team has actually not been present for the opening ceremony. Last year they had Sharkie from The Sharks team in Wilmington throw the first pitch and my son being in his last year of the league was the catcher. They do the whole national anthem and fire the cannon as well. So, I'm all for ditching pictures, but I think we should be there for the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteHey its Coach Clint..lol..How about option 3...
ReplyDeleteWe skip photos and do the ceremony. The opening ceremony is a tradition that dates way back. This is a chance for the kids to be proud of what they have accomplished and the parents. It will only take approximately 30 minutes for the Tee ball league to be introduced and then you all can leave and come back for the game.
As to the photos, as long as we get a group one done I'm cool with that. Alicia your taking them correct..cool..Thanks
LOL...I was about to write the same thing Clint! Me and You were on the same wave length! Skip photos, be at the ceremony for 30 minutes or so, and if your kid is tired, go home...eat, whatever, and come back! I like Option 3 myself! :) and yes, Clint...I will be taking the photos. I just didn't want everyone thinking I was trying to make money or solicit business. hehe... I will do it all for free, and give each of you access to MY ordering website, at cost! .. and give you the digital files.
ReplyDeleteI'd be down with Option 3.
ReplyDeletewe'll work with that. depending on how the kids are dealing with things. Lucas won't be there tomorrow, he'd going to apex with me for a funeral, but we'll be back for the festivities.
ReplyDeleteI like option 2. We will be running back and forth since we live in Leland and my daughter plays at Town Creek so I'm not 100% sure if we will be at opening ceremony.
